This variety of Dragon Fruit produces a red-fleshed fruit. These fruits are small, averaging 200 to 400g. The fruit does not set on its own and needs to be hand-pollinated with another variety.

The seeds of the fruit supposed help in controlling blood glucose levels in people with non-insulin-dependent hyperglycaemic conditions (a kind of diabetes). It is also used to treat stomach and endocrine problems.
